Unearth explores the geothermal landscape of Yellowstone National Park, where heat rising from below meets the frozen world above. Geysers, hot springs, and mud pots reveal a landscape shaped by this constant tension between fire and ice.

I was drawn to the contrast between the stillness of winter and the activity beneath the surface. In temperatures as low as minus 35 degrees Celsius, I photographed a landscape that felt quiet, harsh, and otherworldly. The snow, steam, colour, and mineral textures made visible the forces at work below. The series looks at Yellowstone as a place of collision, where extreme conditions create a landscape that feels both beautiful and unfamiliar.
