Tiaki is a Maori word that means to protect, care for, and preserve. It represents a deep respect for the land and the environment. I was inspired by the natural wonders of New Zealand, the rich texture, thermal activity, and landscapes that make this country so unique. The thermal activity has been a constant source of inspiration for me. The bubbling mud pools, geysers, and hot springs that are scattered throughout the land are a testament to the power and beauty of nature. Tiaki is not just a word, it is a way of life that is deeply ingrained in the Māori culture. It is a reminder that we are all guardians, of the environment and that we have a responsibility to protect and preserve it for future generations.
